Arts @ Large

Arts @ Large engages K-12 students in experiential learning that inspires knowledge and transforms education. This nationally-recognized program uses the arts to cultivate vibrant, inclusive, innovative school communities where students excel and grow.

Arts @ Large is an innovative program that provides multidisciplinary arts experiences for youth throughout Wisconsin. Created in 2001, Arts @ Large provides sustainable art programming for students and teachers in public schools and highlights the essential role that the arts play in creating an inclusive atmosphere of classroom learning.

The Arts @ Large model is based on a simple mission: consistently advocate for the connection of arts to academics by building sustainable partnerships between the arts community, K-12 educators and students, public policy makers, and institutes of higher education.

Since 2001, Arts @ Large has built the skills, confidence, and competence of classroom teachers, arts specialists, and artist educators to engage thousands of K-12 Milwaukee Public Schools students annually in experiential, arts-infused learning.
