Our mission is to sustain economically diverse and abundant communities through civic engagement, environmental stewardship, and creating venues for prosperity.

Since residents first chartered our organization in 2000, Walnut Way has successfully united residents and community partners in collective efforts to challenge conditions that perpetuate the cycle of poverty in our neighborhood. Our community-based programs and services purposefully build and sustain an economically diverse and abundant community through civic engagement, environmental stewardship, and by creating venues for prosperity. Resident-led and rooted firmly in a vision of abundance and innovation, Walnut Way has become a nationally recognized leader in integrative urban revitalization.
