United Hmong of Wisconsin Outreach

Description

“Our sole purpose is to help shed some light on Health Equity awareness in our community.”
Health equity embodies the values, policies, and practices that work to eliminate health inequities and inequitable access to health care, especially for those who have historically faced health inequities based on race/ethnicity, age, ability, sexual orientation, gender identity, poverty, geography, citizenship status or organization.
We all deserve equal access to a full, vibrant life, which is essential to a healthy and just society. We believe working toward health equity and equitable access to healthcare is necessary step toward achieving this vision. We are dedicated to build and sustain a global community that engages across sectors and disciplines to advance health equity with a major focus on mental health. We are unique in our efforts we reach out to individuals who have stories to share. With the increasing rate of mental illness, we find it thoughtful to employ these storytellers to inspire these people who are suffering from mental illnesses helping them heal at a much faster pace.
Our goal is to break the barrier and eliminate health disparities in the community. We do this by inspiring and empowering people, ideas, information exchange, organizations, and relationships. We are most passionate about adequately education affected individuals and their families on health conditions. We solely believe that healing starts from within the home, and we acknowledge that family is a big part of any success.
We look forward to being an embodiment of virtuality, by channeling the right energy and support to them.
