Center for Engagement and Inclusion at Marquette University

Mission

The Center for Engagement and Inclusion exists to help make Marquette University a more inclusive and just campus for all students!

Intercultural Engagement exists to provide opportunities for all students to develop as leaders who explore, understand and engage with areas of diversity and social justice.

Additionally, we provide support and advocacy for students from historically underrepresented communities (including but not limited to students from underrepresented racial, ethnic and religious communities, students in the LGBTQ and Ally communities and first generation college students) to succeed academically and socially.

The Center for Engagement and Inclusion will strive to achieve our vision and fulfill our purpose by developing programs and opportunities through the following core initiatives:

1. Celebrating Diversity

  • Learning and/or experiential opportunities to:
  • Enhance the understanding of and appreciation for diversity and social justice.
  • Increase the awareness of the experiences of members from historically underrepresented communities

  • Support students with their development as culturally competent leaders who advocate for themselves and others
